AquaTT as lead dissemination partner for the MG4U consortium maintains this website on behalf of all the research partners.

The MG4U consortium are pleased to announce that our paper 'Genomics in marine monitoring: new opportunities for assessing marine health status' is now published online in the Marine Pollution Bulletin (Open Access):

  • International Innovation

 

The MG4U project was featured in the May 2013 edition of the International Innovation publication. This article included a one page interview with MG4U coordinator Bernard Kloareg as well as a two page case study on how the MG4U project has played a large role in enabling Marine Genomics.

  • Youris Video

A video on the MG4U project and Marine Genomics in general was broadcast on the Eurovision channel on June 27th at 11:00 GMT. Previous to this, a press release as well as several other materials (see below) were sent to the network of TV media contacts connected to Youris.com in order to raise awareness of the broadcast and of the project activities in general.

Single entry-point to marine genomics knowledge

A knowledge database on marine genomics project outcomes will be published online.

Innovative methodologies

Advanced knowledge transfer methodologies will be customised to target user groups; complex concepts will be translated and knowledge transferred for improved biodiversity, environmental regulations, and commercial applications.

Occupational map of the marine genomics field

Occupational and functional mapping will chart the state of the industry. Essential job roles and functions will be defined within rapidly growing disciplines related to marine genomics.

Training courses and technical workshops

Training programmes will focus on sharing and transferring knowledge to research organizations, government officers, and industrial representatives from large and small enterprises alike.
Connections between biotech sectors and marine genomic experts
Contacts with multipliers and businesses will be initiated to promote marine genomics results at trade events, presentations, roundtable discussions and breakout sessions.
